In June 2008, a deal was brokered that brought together Stanbic Bank Kenya Ltd and CfC Bank Ltd.
This merger brought together the merging of Stanbic Bank (a member of the Standard Bank Group) and CfC Group, which includes CfC Bank, CfC Life, CfC Financial Services, Heritage Insurance and Heritage Insurance Tanzania. What has resulted is the CfC Stanbic Holdings which comprises of the following entities:
